If you are thinking about buying granite in bulk, the good news is simple: you pay a lot less per square meter. But a wholesale order is not like a regular purchase. There are a few things worth knowing first, so you do not run into surprises. Let us go through them one by one, in plain words.
How much you need to order
Suppliers in India usually work with full containers. One container holds about 400-450 square meters of 2 cm slabs. It sounds like a lot, but if you have several projects ahead, it adds up quickly.
Our advice: work out how much you need for the next few months and order it in one go. It comes out cheaper than buying piece by piece.
How to make sure you get good stone
Granite is natural stone, so no two slabs are alike. That is exactly why, before you pay, you should ask for:
- ●Photos of the exact batch you will receive, not generic pictures from the internet.
- ●A real sample, so you can see the color and texture with your own eyes.
When the stone arrives, look closely at each slab: check for cracks, stains, or big color differences. And agree from the start what happens if something is not right. It is much easier to talk about this before, not after.
How long delivery takes
Shipping from India, plus customs, usually takes a few weeks. We will give you the exact time for your order by phone, along with the price. In short: do not leave the order until the last minute. If you have a job with a deadline, order well ahead.
Where to keep the slabs
Granite is heavy and needs careful handling. You will need a place to store it and racks where the slabs stand upright, not stacked flat on top of each other. Set up properly, they will not crack or scratch.
How the price is set
The price depends on how much you buy, how rare the color is, the finish and the sizes. We will give you the price for your order by phone.
Put everything in writing
Before you hand over money, make sure the contract clearly states it all: color, sizes, thickness, finish, quantity, and the delivery date. We will agree the payment terms with you by phone. With everything written down clearly, both sides know what to expect.
If it is your first order
Do not rush to take a whole container right away. Start with a smaller amount, see the quality and how reliable the supplier is. If all goes well, you increase the order next time. That is how you build a partnership you can actually trust.
